The foundation of D.V Joshi & Co. was founded by eminent engineer – Late Mr. D V Joshi in the 1940s in Mumbai. It was laid on solid foundation of honesty, diligence, integrated professional service to ’Customer Requirements’ over a span of six decades.
In 1971, Mr. Jayant Joshi took over the reins of his father’s company and forayed into advisory, valuation, engineering and project management & architectural consultancy services. Our firm takes pride in the positive attributes of our Architects and Engineers – thanks to their efforts and dedication, we have been trusted and chosen to work on prestigious projects. We take ‘Pride’ in being a part of this leading firm. We understand, like no two materials are similar, no two sites can be the same. A simple dot, a line, a triangle or a circle in geometry, by themselves don’t mean much. But an intelligent combination of these can produce vividly interesting patterns and this is the basic guiding principle of the practice.

He completed his B-Arch from Sir J.J College of Architecture, Mumbai in 1971 and is an approved Valuer by Central Board of Direct Taxes, Govt. of India, under Income Tax Act for valuation of immovable properties. Also a registered member of Council of Architecture, member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Indian Institute of Architects (Fellow), Institution of Valuers and Institution of Bridge Engineers, he has vast experience in valuation of immovable assets for different purposes such as capital gain tax, wealth tax, probate and fair market value for large Business houses, Govt and Non Govt organizations all over India.
An alumni of CEPT, Ahmedabad he completed his B-Arch under the guidance of eminent Architect teacher Prof B.V Doshi. He followed this with post-graduation in Urban Design from Columbia University, New York (USA). He joined the firm as Associate and is mainly responsible for designing of major architectural projects. He has worked extensively on institutional and airport projects both in India and abroad. Mr. Hathi has been involved closely in the expansion & renovation of Terminal-1B of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Other international projects executed in India, include the 400 Acre Sterling Grand, Noida & 10,000 Acre Lake City Hill Station, Pune. He has advised both United Airlines and TWA on their Airport facilities at Newark Airport & JFK International Airport. He has also liaised on various levels with the Port Authority of New York, New Jersey and the Airport Authority of India. An associate of the Indian Institute of Architects he is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and is licensed to practice Architecture in India and New York State, USA.
Samir has completed his B-Arch from IES College of Architecture Mumbai in 2016 and As an Architect with over 10 years of diverse experience in the design and execution of Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Industrial buildings. He brings a comprehensive understanding of the architectural process, from Concept through co-ordination to final execution. His expertise spans across various stages of project management, including feasibility analysis, project cost estimation, design, approvals and assisting in land and building valuations. He has a proven track record in navigating complex project requirements and obtaining necessary clearances from local bodies, such as the MCGM, MHADA, MIDC, CFO, BP.Special cell, and MMRDA ensuring that all projects are fully compliant with local requirements. With in-depth knowledge of local regulations and an ability to balance aesthetic considerations with practical constraints, he specializes in conducting detailed project feasibility studies, ensuring optimal resource allocation, cost control, and timely project delivery. Whether it's handling project approval processes, overseeing design development, or managing the execution phase, he is committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that align with client goals and regulatory standards.
